Clinical Supervision

Clinical Supervision

One of my passions over the course of my career has been offering support, guidance, teaching and consultation support to fellow colleagues entering the field of psychotherapy.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience and training. I offer an inclusive, compassionate, and understanding perspective of your challenges that is grounded in both experience and theory. I have been helping people with addictions and mental health issues since 2005. I’ve supported numerous clients with Attention Deficit Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions and other mental health concerns.

My approach takes into consideration your strengths, challenges, stressors and barriers while offering support and strategies that empower you. Collaborating with you and meeting you where you are in your journey is key, giving you strategies that will grow your confidence and provide you with tools to overcome future challenges beyond the therapy environment. I have focused on creating a space where you can be vulnerable and focus on your growth and development as a priority.

In working with you I will strive to:

  • Offer a safe, non judgemental and supportive approach to foster a strong working supervisory alliance
  • Promote your professional growth and development while balancing safe and effective use of self (managing self-care; preventing burnout)
  • Foster competency in counselling skills

I authentically enjoy sharing my skills, knowledge and experiences with new practitioners.  clinical supervision goes well beyond the academic expectation of the profession of psychotherapy. It is a good clinical practice to have a supervision component in your clinical practice regardless of where you are in your journey through this field of work.

I am currently accepting student therapy intern requests and psychotherapists’ requests for Clinical Supervision for mandatory clinical hours.  Please reach out to admin@calmingmindswellness.ca with any questions. Students please provide your resume, CV when inquiring about placement opportunities.
